“Yan yung pride, honor, and glory. Diyan lahat ng sakripisyo namin—sleepless nights, pagod, at luha. Nandiyan din yung pagmamahal sa buong CamSur, at sa lahat ng Bikolano na patuloy na sumusuporta sa amin. Para sa kanila lahat ito,” said Coach Genesius Molto Jr., describing what the trophy means to him.

Fresh off a thrilling five-game finals series against the defending champions, Tikas Kapampangan, the Cam Sur Express have finally returned home as NBL Pilipinas champions, proudly carrying with them the long-awaited trophy. The entire CamSur Express team, along with Governor Lray Villafuerte, faced the media to express their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support they have received since the start of the season.

“It humbles us a lot. Thankful kami kay God dahil ipinagkaloob Niya ito sa amin, and we promise to keep improving. Sinabi ko nga sa players at coaches: let’s stay grounded. Hindi ito dahilan para lumaki ang ulo natin—ito ay inspirasyon para magpursige pa,” said Coach Molto, emphasizing that humility will remain at the core of the team’s journey as they continue to bring pride to Bicol.

Governor Lray Villafuerte echoed this sentiment, highlighting the team’s character throughout the season.

“Nakita ng ibang lugar, nakita ng lahat kung paano tayo lumaban. Whether nanalo o natatalo, may dignidad tayo. Taas-noo tayo—yan ang CamSur Express!” he declared, drawing resounding applause from the audience.

He also took a moment to commend the Tikas Kapampangan for their gallant performance and the sportsmanship they displayed throughout the finals.

The governor reaffirmed his full support for the team, assuring that the Provincial Government and the entire Bicolandia will stand behind CamSur Express every step of the way.
