Victories were celebrated and pride shared at the CMO Conference Room on February 3, as Team Soven Pade-Pade x Konsi Dayories, fresh from their triumph at the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Season 2 Camarines Sur Local Qualifying Tournament in Goa, Camarines Sur, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Rex C. Oliva. The team clinched the championship on January 24, 2026, defeating the SvC RAMS in the 19-and-under category.
Joined by Councilor Jeff B. Tino, Chair of the SP Committee on Sports Development, team coach Jay-Ar Salcedo, and City Sports Consultant Engr. Solomon C. Ngo, the champions proudly presented their trophy to Mayor Rex. Their victory secured the team’s qualification for the National leg of the tournament, which will be held in Caloocan and Quezon City from February 25 to March 1, 2026.
In recognition of their achievement, Mayor Rex C. Oliva expressed his appreciation and encouragement for the team’s dedication and hard work, giving each member P2,000 as a token of support. He also assured the team of the city’s assistance, including vehicle service for their travels during the National competition. The gesture highlighted the city’s commitment to supporting local athletes as they represent Iriga City at higher levels.
The City Government congratulates Team Soven Pade-Pade x Konsi Dayories on their success and looks forward to providing continued support as they compete in the National tournament, expressing pride in the team’s dedication, teamwork, and skill both on and off the court.
