Iriga: BOFWA members participate in OWWA’s Livelihood Training Program

In partnership with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA-Bicol) conducted the Organizational Development, Financial Literacy, and Skills Training for Overseas Filipino Circle (OFC) on July 27-28, 2023, at the Villa Del Rey Function Hall. OWWA Regional Director Zenaida Ramos graced the skills training program where over 40 members of Bombon Overseas Filipino Workers Association (BOFWA) participated.

Highlighted in the two-day activity was the meat processing taught by TESDA wherein participants had hands-on training in making tocino and siomai. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas also led the financial literacy training to help them better utilize their resources and income; while the Department of Labor and Employment led the orientation on the DOLE Rural Workers Association Registration

In equipping the participants with apt knowledge and skills for their growth and development toward a sustainable livelihood, the program empowers OFCs’ by helping them acquire financial stability and a steady income within their municipalities.

The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur under Governor Luigi Villafuerte’s leadership is committed to closely collaborating with various agencies for the welfare of OFWs and their families.
