The Bureau of Fire Protection Region V officially launched the Fire Prevention Month 2026 through a Regional Kick-Off Ceremony on March 1, 2026 at the SM Legazpi City, signaling the start of intensified fire safety awareness and prevention efforts across the Bicol Region.
DILG Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober, Jr., CESO III attended the activity, conveying his full support for the campaign, emphasizing that fire prevention is a shared responsibility that requires strong collaboration between government and communities.
The Fire Prevention Month celebration serves as a platform to intensify public education campaigns, conduct inspections, and implement community-based activities aimed at reducing fire incidents and safeguarding lives and properties.
With the collective efforts of national government agencies and community stakeholders, the initiative reaffirms the region’s commitment to building safer, more resilient, and fire-ready communities across Bicol.
