Provincial Agriculture and Fishery Council (PAFC) Albay Chairperson Rene De Los Reyes has requested ftom the Department of Agriculture (DA) additional solar water facilities and agricultural inputs for farmers affected by the El Niño phenomenon.
In a letter communicated to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Albay (SPA) on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, De Los Reyes said that this will help the farmers severely affected by El Niño in the province.
The PAFC Chair expressed concern through Resolution No. 20 series of 2024, requesting the Department of Agriculture (DA) for Additional Solar Water Facility and Other Inputs for Use of the Local Farmers in Albay Province affected by the El Niño phenomenon.
In a separate interview with Assistant Provincial Agriculturist Daryl John Buenconsejo, the official said that such additional facilities and agricultural inputs will help in our farmers’ mitigation efforts as well as in the production of high-quality yields, ensuring stability of production in the next planting and harvest season.
