Iriga: Albay Dengue Cases Reach 1,758

    Albay has recorded a cumulative 1,758 dengue cases from January 1 to September 8, 2026, according to the Albay Provincial Health Office-Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (APHO-PESU).

    Legazpi City recorded the highest number of cases with 378, followed by Bacacay with 254 and Daraga with 188.

    In the First District, Tabaco City recorded 158 cases, Malilipot 130, Tiwi 54, Sto. Domingo 48, and Malinao 24.

    In the Second District, aside from Daraga, Manito recorded 86 cases, Camalig 80, and Rapu-Rapu 25.

    In the Third District, Ligao City recorded 102 cases, while Libon had 78, Pio Duran 60, Polangui 53, Oas 34, Guinobatan 28, and Jovellar five.

    The cumulative total includes 14 dengue-related deaths, with five recorded in Legazpi City, two each in Daraga, Manito, and Sto. Domingo, and one each in Malilipot, Camalig, and Tiwi.

    The figures reflect the continuing increase in reported dengue cases across Albay, with cases recorded in all 18 local government units of the province.
