The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol successfully held a specialized training program entitled, “Advancing DENR V’s Records Management: Specialized Training on Disposal Strategies and Regulatory Compliance” aimed at enhancing records management practices within the Department on March 13 to 15, 2024 at the DENR Regional Office V, Hamada Hall, Rawis, Legazpi City.
The three-day event will focus on various aspects of records management, with a particular emphasis on disposal strategies and regulatory compliance.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts, learn about best practices, and explore innovative solutions to streamline record-keeping processes while adhering to relevant regulations.
The event was attended by Administrative Division Chief Dolores C. Vargas and employees from various offices, including the Regional Office, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Offices (PENROs), as well as Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices (CENROs). A representative from the National Archives of the Philippines also attended the activity.
The DENR Bicol headed by Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla, Jr. recognizes the critical importance of efficient and compliant records management. “With an ever-growing volume of data and documents, it is imperative to equip our personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage our records effectively, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting organizational efficiency,” he said.
