ย The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Bicol has ensured greater accessibility for all qualified and registered coconut farmers in the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS) through the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP).
The CFIDP aims to increase the income and productivity of coconut farmers in the province through the rehabilitation and modernization of the Philippine coconut industry.
Over 400 coconut farmers from six municipalities in the 1st District, including Sto. Domingo, Bacacay, Malilipot, Malinao, Tiwi, and Tabaco City, were selected as beneficiaries of the CFIDP On-the-Go program and the CFIDP Roadshow.
Meanwhile, representatives from 14 CFIDP co-Implementing Agencies (IAs), CFIDP program recipients, as well as health and medical volunteers from the rural health units of the municipalities, participated in the program held at the Bicol University Tabaco Campus Gymnasium in Tabaco City.
