Hacking incident transpired at Purok Baluno, Dalangin Muslim, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay Province at about 8:30 PM of December 10, 2020, wherein victim identified as Freddie Salapar, 46 years old, married, carpenter and a resident of Dalangin Muslim, Titay, was hacked by suspect identified as Roger Flora Soriano, 45 years old, married, caretaker of Titay Cemetery and a resident of the same place.
Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident; the suspect and the victim had a bet on the players at a billiard pool. Due to some misunderstanding and disagreement on the amount at stake, the victim did not pay the right sum of money that angered the suspect.
A fight ensued between them, the suspect went home and came back with a bolo and hacked the victim who sustained a hacked wound on his neck and left arm and was rushed to Dr. Sibud County Hospital for medical treatment.
The suspect fled on foot heading to mountainous area of Brgy. Dalangin Muslim, Titay while elements of Titay Municipal Police Station are still conducting follow-up operation and investigation to locate the whereabouts of the suspect.
