Gi-anunsyo sa Malacanang, Domingo, Agosto 1, 2021 nga ilang gi aprobahan ang rekomendasyon sa Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Disease (IATF) nga i downgrade ang Modified Enhance Community Quarantine (MECQ) classification ngadto na sa ‘General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions’.
Nag gumikan kini sa apela sa provincial government nga gi file ngadto sa IATF niadtong Biyernes, Hulyo 30, 201.
“The Province of Cebu shall be placed under GCQ until 15 August 2021, without prejudice to their reclassification as may be warranted and the declaration of localized Enhanced Community Quarantine in critical areas, and with the observance and implementation of the (redacted) heightened restrictions,” tipik sa IATF Resolution No. 130-D, nga gipagawas niadtong Domingo.

Heightened restrictions
Kadtong lugar nga ubos sa ‘GCQ with heightened restrictions’ gikinahanglan nga mosunod sa health protocols nga gipatuman sa IATF sama sa mosunod:
- Indoor and al fresco (outdoor) dining services are allowed but seating capacities are capped at 20 percent and 50 percent respectively.
- Businesses doing personal care services, such as salons, parlors and barbershops, are also allowed to resume operations in a 30 percent capacity.
- Outdoor tourist attractions can reopen at a 30 percent capacity.
Pero gidili ang pag operate sa MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) events, indoor sports courts, ug indoor tourist attractions sa lokalidad nga classified ubos sa ‘GCQ with heightened restrictions.
Niadtong Biyernes, Hulyo 30, gipahibaw sa national government nga ang tibook Cebu Island gipabalik sa MECQ status, sugod sa Agosto 1, hangtud sa 15, aron contain ang pagkatap sa Covid-19 infections sa Sugbo.
