THE country’s Olympic bid in judo as well as the 2021 International Chess Federation World Cup will be tackled in Tuesday’s online session of the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum.
Philippine Judo Federation President Dave Carter will discuss the preparations and campaign of first-time Olympian Kiyomi Watanabe in the Tokyo Olympics in the session that starts at 10 a.m. Watanabe, 24, clinched an Olympic berth via continental quota in the women’s 63-kg division.
Grandmaster Jayson Gonzales, the National Chess Federation of the Philippines chief executive officer, will talk about the Filipinos chances in the World Cup slated in Sochi, Russia, starting on July 3.
