Through an exemplary demonstration of meticulous planning and unwavering commitment to public safety, Provincial Top Cop, Police Colonel Laudemer M Laude, reported a resounding triumph in the recently concluded barangay and SK elections held on October 30, 2023.
Provincial Director, Police Colonel Laudemer M Laude, revealed that records from the Provincial Election Monitoring and Action Center (PEMAC) showed a remarkable absence of significant untoward incidents during Election Day.
The triumph can be attributed to several key factors, including early and thorough preparations by the PNP Surigao del Norte, the strategic deployment of personnel, and seamless coordination with key stakeholders such as the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Commission on Elections. The joint security efforts between the PNP and AFP effectively deterred armed groups and maintained the integrity of the electoral process.
Meanwhile, the province’s top cop also expressed his gratitude to the public for their cooperation and the political candidates for heeding the PNP’s advice to refrain from resorting to violence throughout the election period.
