Zamboangueño Muhaimin Ulag bagged the bronze medal in the Men’s 100m Breaststroke SB9 at the 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023 in Cambodia Sunday, June 4.
Ulag is 30 years old, a PWD from Mampang.
In 2022, Ulag likewise brought home the bronze for the Philippine team in the 100-meter freestyle event during the 11th ASEAN Paralympic Game at Surakarta, Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Unit (PDAU), Zamboanga City PWD Federation (ZCPWDFeD), Brgy. Mampang PWD Association and the entire PWD Sector likewise extend their best wishes to Ulag for his feat bringing honor and fame to the city and the country.
Henry Salac of PDAU under the CSWDO recounted that Ulag’s physical condition was attributed to a vehicular accident but despite his limited mobility he defies the odds to excell with his family as his inspiration, hence, his stellar performance.
Ulag is a native of barangay Recodo; he finished high school at Ayala, where he met his first swimming coach, Salac added.
