Under the Department of Agriculture’s Masagana Rice Program, the City Government of Iriga, through its City Agriculture Office, distributed fertilizer discount vouchers (FDVs) amounting to PHP 1,958,874.00 to 702 rice farmers in the first batch of beneficiaries. The distribution took place at the Ground Floor ICT Building. This program supports farmers who have utilized hybrid palay seeds and are registered in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA). Each farmer received a voucher worth PHP 3,400 per hectare, applicable to a maximum of 5 hectares per farmer.
Executive Secretary Jor-el O. Caayao represented Mayor Wilfredo Rex C. Oliva in addressing the beneficiaries, reinforcing the city’s commitment to agricultural support and development.
