Members of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City at 10:18 PM of June 30, 2024 which resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old female suspect and confiscation of the following items:
a. Three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with standard drug price of PhP1,020,000.00;
b. One piece genuine PhP1,000.00 bill as marked money; and c. 194 pieces of One Thousand peso bills as bogus money.
The confiscated drug items were brought to Regional Forensic Unit 9 for examination while the suspect was brought to ZCPO Detention Facility for proper disposition.
“I applaud the efforts of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 team Zamboanga City for the successful anti-illegal drugs operation in Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City which led to the arrest of a female suspect and the seizure of PhP1,020,000.00 Worth of Shabu. Ang PNP ay walang-tigil sa pagsasagawa ng mga operasyon kontra illegal na droga upang masugpo ang paglaganap ng mga nakakapinsalang droga sa ating bayan.
