Nonot niini, gihangop sa mga manlalaban sa The National Union of Peoples Lawyers (NUPL) Cebu Chapters ang pagka dismiss nilang Chad Errol Booc, Segundo Lagatos Melong, Benito Dalim BAy-ao, Moddie Langayed Mansimoy-at, Esmelito Paumba Oribawan, Roshelle Mae Porcadilla ug si Jomar Benag.
Ang “Bakwit School 7” respondents sa tulo ka kasong kriminal nga naglakip sa Child Abuse Law, Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act ug Kidnapping and serious illegal detention.
Tanang mga respondents gawas kang Porcadilla kliyente sa NUPL Cebu ug sa Visayas Community Law Center (VCLC).
Si Porcadilla mi withdraw sa representation sa NUPL Cebu niadtong Marso 2021.
Kahinumduman nga pipila ka mga indibidwal nga naglangkob sa Bakwit School 7 gisikop sa usa ka “rescue operation” niadtong Pebrero 15, 2021 sud sa usa sa mga retreat houses sa Societas Verbi Divini (SVD), sa University of San Carlos-Talamban Campus (USC-TC).
Sa resolution niadtong Mayo 5, 2021, ug gi aprobahan ni Provincial Prosecutor Normal Solis, gi basura ang tanang complaints sa mosonod nga grounds: gawas kini sa territorial jurisdiction sa OPP Davao Del Norte, insufficiency of evidence ug lack of probable cause.
Sa dispositive portion sa Resolution, ang OPP Davao Del Norte nag-ingon, ” the Police Regional Office VI or whoever Officer of the Law that has custody of the said respondents is ORDERED to immediately release them as far as these are concerned.” (Jhon Tadlip/JTY)
