Be informed that on or about 10:45 AM of November 25, 2020, one concern citizen informed Polanco Municipal Police Station (MPS) thru cellphone call that there was a found cadaver at Purok Okra, Brgy. New Sicayab, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte (MOL 20 km away from Police Station with weak signal connection).
Acted on the report, PNP personnel of Polanco MPS composed of PEMS Roderick J. Baraquero, PCPL. Alton Eramis Velasco and PSSG. Ervin Napigquit Velasco-IOC together with Polanco Rural Health Officer headed by Dr. Patrisha F. Quema-Municipal Health Officer proceeded to the area. Upon arrival thereat, the victim identified as one Zaldy Omud Toc, 38 years old, married and a resident of Purok Okra, Brgy. New Sicayab, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte.
Initial investigation disclosed that on the said date, time and place, the lifeless body was discovered by his neighbor Bonifacio Omud, 67 years old, married, resident at Purok Okra, Brgy. New Sicayab, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte who was about to pasture his carabao at around 6:00AM of same date when he noticed that the door of the house (kubo) of the victim was opened. Then he checked the house and saw that the victim was lying at the floor lifeless in prone position.
Accordingly, on or about 3:00 PM of November 24, 2020 the victim attended a drinking session together with his relatives, then victim went home drunk and wanted to sleep. That the victim asked his neighbor victims cousin about 5 meters more less distance from his house to turn off the light for he about to sleep. According to his cousin after he turned off the light, he never heard any unusual things and he begun to sleep together with his wife.
The dead body was examined by Dr. Patrisha F. Quema, Municipal Health Officer. Further, this office upon initial investigation finds that when the victim about to sleep lying down the floor because of drunkenness accidentally hit by pointed object (nails) hitting at the back-right portion of his head that caused his instantaneous death. The dead body was turned-over to his family.
