Zamboanga Peninsula – Four (4) Farmers and Cooperatives Associations (FCAs) in Zamboanga del Norte received 10 carabaos from the Department of Agriculture – Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (4K) Program on May 4, 2021
The Subanen Ginselugien Pusaka Association in the municipality of Mutia and the Subanen Ancestral Domain Community in the municipality of Manukan received two carabulls and two caraheifers each, while the P’gsalabukan Bansa Subanen Deg Lupa Pusaka received one carabull and one caraheifer.
The working animals are worth a total of ₱ 388,000.00 and are given to the FCAs as livelihood assistance for farm preparation and breeding.
“This 4K program of the DA is a great blessing to the IP community. It will provide them livelihood opportunities that will help them alleviate their living,” said Mayor Abel Matildo, Godod municipality.
Also present to show support to the 4K’s Livelihood Distribution were Alvenda (Mutia) barangay chairperson Manuel Magting, the local barangay officers, and other DA9 -4K personnel.
