Listed property firms Century Properties Group Inc. and Megaworld Corp. on Tuesday announced that they are giving Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz one of their units to become part of her winnings.

Phirst Park Homes Inc., the horizontal brand of CPG and Japan’s Mitsubishi Corp., has announced that it is awarding a house and lot package worth P4 million.

“On behalf of Phirst Park Homes and the entire Century Properties Group, we send our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Ms. Hidilyn Diaz for bringing home the gold and bringing pride to the Philippines,” CPG executive chairman Jose E.B. Antonio said.

“Hidilyn’s story is every Filipino’s story of struggle and perseverance amidst adversities. She even improvised her own weightlifting equipment out of bamboo sticks and water bottles in order to train with her limited resources. We at Phirst Park Homes celebrate her inspiring story of triumph. She deserves a Phirst home for winning the Philippine’s first Olympic gold medal,” Phirst Park president Ricky M. Celis said.

The company is awarding the Filipino athlete with an Unna single-attached house and lot valued at P4 million at a Phirst Park Homes community of her choice in eight communities, where the subdivision is currently located.

Megaworld, meanwhile, will give Diaz a P14 million worth of residential condominium unit in Eastwood City in Libis, Quezon City. The company did not identify which of its units that it will award to the Olympian.

“This epic moment is about 97 years in the making, and this is our way of saying thanks to Hidilyn for making us all proud. We believe that it’s just right to give our first-ever Olympic gold medalist a home in our first-ever township, Eastwood City, where she can enjoy the township lifestyle with her family and loved ones” Kevin Andrew L. Tan, the company’s executive vice president said.

These rewards are aside from the other incentives she’s going to receive including the total cash amount of more than 35 million pesos coming from the private and government sectors led by business-tycoons Manny V. Pangilinan, Ramon S. Ang, Phoenix Petroleum, the Philippine government and the City of Zamboanga.

Pangilinan through his MVP Sports Foundation and Ang, the San Miguel Corporation owner, have pledged P10 million each, while the government has P10 million cash reward based on the incentive act law.

She will be receiving also P5 million and free fuel for life from Phoenix Petroleum, P3 million pesos from 1-Pacman Partylist Congressman Mikee Romero plus a lifetime free flights from Air Asia and then the P2.5 million reward from the City of Zamboanga.
