Cordillera Police Nets Over ₱20.7 Million Worth Of Illegal Drugs

Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – Anti-drug units of Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) continued its unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of illegal drugs within the region which resulted in the seizure, recovery, and destruction of over ₱ 20.7-million worth of illegal drugs for the month of October.

During this period, police units from different parts of the region conducted 29 operations that resulted in the confiscation and seizure of illegal drugs with DDB value of ₱ 20,789,532.

The contraband composed of 75,850 fully grown marijuana plants, 71,200 marijuana seedlings, 20,000 grams of marijuana stalks and 55.96 grams of Methamphetamine or suspected shabu.

The relentless operations resulted to the arrest of 28 suspects, 22 cases were already filed in courts.

A total of 11 drug personalities surrendered to authorities.

Police Regional Director PBGEN R’win SA Pagkalinawan stressed the continuous and strong determination of PROCOR to minimize, if not totally stop the proliferation of illegal drugs in Cordillera and further ordered the intensified anti-illegal drug campaign.
