Claver LGU inks partnership with Taganito Mining for Community-Based Monitoring System 2021

CLAVER, SURIGAO DEL NORTE – The local government Unit of Claver headed by Mayor Georgia Gokiangkee has inked partnership with Taganito Mining Corporation (TMC) on the implementation of Community-based Monitoring System (CBMS) for the year 2021.

The partnership includes the turnover of items sponsored by TMC: 20 pcs Samsung tablets, 20 pcs 20,000 mAh power banks, 2 pcs 2TB external hard drives, 20 Field backpacks containing an umbrella, field uniform, cap, thermo water bottle; 20 boxes of Facemask, 40 pcs face shields, 20 boxes of Surgical gloves, 40 bottles of Alcohol spray, one Digital Photocopier Printer Scanner, 2 pocket wifis, and 40 Load Cards worth P200.

The items will be used by enumerators, encoders and field editors identified by the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) during the barangay surveys.

Municipal Mayor Gokiangkee thanked the LGU’s partner in producing reliable data for future use. “This undertaking is a significant contribution to the community, especially the marginalized, and we are grateful to TMC for helping us accomplish this”, the Mayor expressed.

Meanwhile, MPDC Eva B. Casido, ENP shared that the CBMS is expected to kick-off by March 2021 as soon as the software is available for the LGUs to use. (by Donna Jeanne Q. Rule)
