PCOL FERNANDO L CUNANAN JR, Provincial Director, Albay PPO, led the lighting of Christmas lanterns/lights in front of the Admin building of Albay PPO yesterday, 7:00 PM, November 28, 2023, to signal the start of 2023 Christmas celebration.
In his message, which was fortified by the words of PBGEN WESTRIMUNDO D OBINQUE, Regional Director, PRO5, he said that Christmas celebration is part of the customs and traditions of the Filipinos that should be preserved and be passed to the next generation, as it manifests the unique characters of the Filipino people – united, loving, and resilient.
By lighting the Christmas lanterns/lights it does not only signals the commencement of the yuletide season, but it also indicates greater responsibility to the police force. An opportune time to express commitment to serving and protecting the people and the community as the influx of people coming in and out of the areas of responsibilities is expected.
