Niining nagkaduol na nga Palarong Pambansa 2024, karong sunod bulan, na ang Sugbo maoy mag host sa maong kalihukan sub-sub na ang pagpangandam ug pag susi sa venue.
Kagahapong adlawa Hunyo 13, 2024, nibisita sa siyudad sa Sugbo ang assistant secretary sa Department of Education nga si Francis Cesar Bringas.
Atol sa ocular inspection natagbaw si Asec. Bringas sa nagpadayon nga gitrabaho, uban usab niya si Acting Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia.
“She’s really here so that she can really oversee all the operations, not only the operations but preparations for the Palaro. And I am liking what I am hearing from her that she’s also kinda satisfied with what she saw, so far,” segon ni Acting Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia.
“Sa pagkakaron her word is really what I am satisfied about most because it’s really them (Palaro officials) that really tell us if our preparations are on track or not,” dugang sa Acting Mayor.
Gipadayag sab hinuon Bringas ang ginagmay nga mga butang nga nabantayan niya nga kinahanglan itarong, partikularmente sa kabag-on sa rubberized track.
“Yes, there are a lot of small things, like she was mentioning earlier about the thickness of the oval, which we will take up…. So, the small things we will take up now in our contractors meeting,” pamahayag ni Acting Mayor Garcia.
Kahinumdoman nga daan na niyang giingnan ang mga contractor sa Palaro nga kada semana siya makigkita kanila alang sa update sa ilang mga gitrabaho.
Si ASec. Bringas, gipadayag niini nga ila gyung gitan-aw kung aduna pa bay angay nga adjustments nga buhaton aron masiguro nga luwas ang mga atleta nga mogamit sa oval.
“According to the contractors at yung mga nagpre-prepare ng ating athletic oval, on time naman sila. So. we are trying to look if there are still some refinements or minor adjustments that we need to make para maging safe sa ating athletes yung ating athletic oval,” nagkanayon siya.
Nagpasalamat usab si ASec. Bringas nga bisan og adunay kausaban sa pamunoan sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, wala nalangan ang pagpangandam sa dakbayan isip host city alang sa Palarong Pambansa 2024.
“Yes, we are and we are thankful that despite the change in leadership in Cebu City, we are still on track at wala naming hindrances sa pag-host ng Cebu City,” pamahayag niya. (Renante Socia Lada)
