Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) warmly welcomed the 601 new patrol officers who are part of PSBRC RTC 7 Class 2024-01 dubbed as “LEGIONS”. They completed the six-month rigorous training under the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) at Regional Training Center 7 in Brgy. Jugan, Consolacion, Cebu, yesterday, June 20, 2025.
The class consists of 489 males and 112 females, which are divided into Clusters Alpha to Five. Their name “LEGIONS” means unity, discipline, and strength as a team. Their training began on December 20, 2024 and it includes training on law enforcement, community safety, firearm use, internal security operations, and human rights respect.
During the graduation ceremony, PRO7 Regional Director PBGEN Redrico A. Maranan said the new policemen play a very important role in protecting the people and fulfilling the mission of the PNP to bring peace and protection to the community.
After the ceremony, the new graduates will be deployed to police stations across Central Visayas to help maintain peace and security in local communities.
The name “LEGIONS” means “Law Enforcers Guided with Integrity and Obedience towards the Nation’s Success” — describing their courage, unity, and dedication to public service.
Felicitated the success of the new police officers in front of their families, police officers, and community stakeholders who attended the occasion.
Finally, PBGEN Maranan reiterated his message to continue the campaign against criminality under his operational mantra EPP (Enhanced Police Presence), QRT (Quick Response Time), and CADCP (Counter-actions Against Drug Groups, Criminal Gangs, and Private Armed Groups).
He also honored the leadership of the new PNP Chief, Police General Nicolas D. Tower III, which stands on three pillars of service: fast and effective public service, unity and morale in the police range, and honesty through modernization.
The graduation of Class “LEGIONS” is a sign of the strong force of the PNP in Central Visayas, and a step towards a stronger and more reliable service to the people.
