Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – A joint law enforcement operation in Caraga region on Friday (May 14) resulted in the arrest of a high-ranking official of the New People’s Army (NPA).
In a statement, Police Brigadier General ROMEO M. CARAMAT JR., Police Regional Office (PRO)13 Regional Director said that Deonesio Doloretos Indoyon also known as Ronie Indoyon is a very notorious NPA Deputy Secretary of GFC 14, SRC SOUTHLAND, NEMRC. He is operating in the areas of Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur.
He was arrested by virtue of warrants issued by 10th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court Branch 6 in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur for multiple murder and multiple attempted murder with criminal case number 9002; 11th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court Branch 29 in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur for multiple attempted murder with criminal case number 2016-1-4599; 10th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court Branch 7 in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur with criminal case numbers 6527 and 6525 for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention and criminal case number 6524 for Destructive Arson dated January 30, 2020; with no bail recommended. Indoyon is listed in the 1st quarter 2019 PRO 13 Periodic Status Report.
Indoyon is directly involved in the kidnapping and serious illegal detention of government forces at New Tubigon 8th SF Coy Patrol Base located in P-1 Brgy. New Tubigon Sibagat, Agusan del Sur and in Brgy. Kolambugan on December 19, 2018. They also carted 16 units of 5.56mm M16 rifles; Three units 7.62mm M14 rifles; Two units 5.56mm R4 rifles; One unit of M203 grenade launcher; a 7.62mm M60 machine gun; and a Harris Handheld radio.
“This is a proof that no one can escape the long arms of the law and that criminals will sooner than later pay for all the crimes that they carried out against the community and the government,” RD CARAMAT JR. fostered.
He lauded the operating police from Provincial Intelligence Team of Agusan del Sur, Regional Intelligence Unit 13, PNP-Intelligence Group, Regional Intelligence Division together with Regional Intelligence Unit 7, 1303rd Regional Mobile Force Battalion 13, PHPT Agusan del Sur, and Carcar City Police Station for being steadfast in their duty of dealing the communist terrorist with significant blows.
“The PNP intelligence forces’ ability to arrest key NPA leader is a manifestation of the effectiveness and efficiency of our intelligence network,” RD CARAMAT JR. said.
