Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – With the help of local officials and the community, another ₱ 166,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were uprooted and burned by the Benguet Cops in Sitio Balaan, Poblacion, Kibungan, Benguet on July 9, 2021.
According to the reports submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN. RONALD OLIVER LEE, the operation was conducted as a result of the information received by the operatives from the locals regarding to the alleged marijuana plants being cultivated in the mountainous area of Kibungan.
In response, joint operatives of Kibungan MPS, 1st Benguet PMFC and PIU of Benguet PPO conducted a marijuana eradication on the said place.
Using a drone to locate and scour the area, a total of 750 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants and 400 marijuana seedlings with an aggregate Standard Drug Price of ₱ 166,000.00 were discovered by the operatives.
All Marijuana plants and seedlings were uprooted and burned on-site after proper documentation.
