Baguio To Welcome Fully Vaccinated Tourist

Fully vaccinated tourists may now enter the undisputed “Summer Capital of the country, the city of Baguio but subject to guidelines.

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong announced they will accept leisure travel for fully vaccinated individuals starting October 25.But, except those who will be coming from areas under Enhanced Community Quarantine, modified ECQ and Alert Level 4 or 5.

The Public Information Office said that there are three simple requirements for tourist to comply before travelling to Baguio.

Travelers should first create an account on visita.baguio.gov.ph a day before their intended travel.

Tourists can travel only once (QR-coded Tourist Pass) QTP is issued; registration upon arrival is not allowed, strictly no QTP no entry!

But unvaccinated or partially vaccinated adults are not allowed to enter the city and only 2,000 individual registrations will be allowed for now.

For unvaccinated or partially vaccinated minors aged 12 to 17 they must present negative results of Antigen or RT-PCR test conducted within 72 hours prior to arrival or during health screening at the City Triage.

“Minors who are 11 years old and below shall be tested with the consent of their parents or accompanying guardian,” the guideline stated.

All tourists must first proceed to the city triage for verification of QTP and documents

The city government reminds all visitors must follow minimum health and safety protocols and to stay only in accommodation establishments listed in Baguio VISITA, and enter business establishments with Safety Seal issued by the city.
