Baguio To Honor COVID-19 Vaccination Card

Baguio City will no longer require negative swab test result of COVID-19 for individuals fully vaccinated with anti-corona virus vaccine to enter the city.

Residents of Baguio who have been fully vaccinated can now submit their vaccination documents and will no longer be required to go to triage when entering the city.

However, visitors from other regions who are fully vaccinated must still go through triage and provide their legitimate vaccination documents.

Full-dose vaccination card or certificate will serve as an as an alternate to a negative COVID-19 test result but vaccination documents must be legitimate.

Persons are considered fully vaccinated at least two weeks from having received the second dose of a two- dose series or after at least two weeks from having received a single dose type of vaccine.

But tourist must still observe the following requirements and protocols:

  • Pre-register at visita.baguio.gov.ph
  • No QTP, no entry!
  • Triage is mandatory upon arrival
  • Allowed for all ages but only those from GCQ and MGCQ areas
  • Strictly observe health protocols while in the city

Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong issued today an Executive Order No. 79-2021 revising travel protocols in the City of Baguio “to properly address recent development in the COVID-19 situation.

Travelers who shall not be required to undergo health assessment, or vaccination verification, as the case may be, at Baguio City Triage Units are the following:

Travelers with medical emergencies;

Travelers with confirmed non-emergency medical appointments, unless the same is a requirement of their destination health facility or accommodation establishment, as the case may be;

Clinic and hospital-based health workers who are residents of Baguio and returning home from duty, or reporting for duty from their respective residences in other localities.

Pass Through Travelers who are asymptomatic when passing through city checkpoints.

Residents of the municipalities of La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tublay, and Tuba shall be exempt from the entry protocols as stated in the immediately preceding provisions, subject to agreements or Resolutions that may be issued by the BLISTT Council.

Cargo and logistics services for essential and non-essential goods, and utilities for water, electricity, IT, telecommunications, fuel products, and waste management shall be afforded unhampered passage, but may be subject to random inspections by the members of the Philippine National Police.

Government agencies and instrumentalities providing emergency services or humanitarian aid during times of typhoon or calamity shall be afforded unhampered passage.

The city government Baguio under the leadership of Mayor Benjie Magalong is now desperate to open the tourism industry safely to revive the economy of the city. (Joseph Manzano, RPN DZBS Baguio OIC)
