KALINGA PROVINCE – Around 30,000 fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted; and approximately 30 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves and stalks all with a total estimated worth of NINE MILLION PESOS (PhP9,600,000.00) was burned onsite in Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cordillera, Kalinga Provincial Office, together with members of Tinglayan Municipal Police during a successful two-day marijuana eradication conducted on June 24, 2025 to June 25, 2025.
The 30,000 fully grown marijuana plants and the 30 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves and stalks were discovered in a 3,000 square meters lot in Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, wherein the Authorities burned the illegal plants.
There was no cultivator arrested during the operation.
