BACOLOD CITY — The Bacolod City Police Office seized suspected shabu, or crystal methamphetamine, valued at PHP 1,462,000 in separate buy-bust operations that led to two arrests here on Sept. 7 and 8.
Authorities confiscated 65 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 442,000 in Barangay 2 recently.
The operation, led by Police Station 2, resulted in the arrest of “Leo,” 20, who was allegedly involved in delivering illegal drugs in Barangays Bata, Mandalagan and 2 and neighboring communities.
The following day, operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a man in Barangay 10 and recovered suspected shabu valued at PHP 1,020,000.
Police identified the suspect only as “Dan,” 33, and said he allegedly yielded eight sachets of suspected shabu.
Police classified both suspects as high-value individuals.
Police Col. Eugene Rebadomia, BCPO director, lauded the operating teams for their efforts to dismantle illegal drug networks across the city’s neighborhoods.
In a statement, Police Brig. Gen. Rudecindo Reales, director of the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region, vowed to remain relentless in the campaign against illegal drugs.
