BACOLOD CITY — The city government has launched the Bacolod (BCD) Hotline to streamline public assistance and make city services more accessible to residents.
Mayor Greg Gasataya led the launch of the hotline, (034) 479-6100, on Monday, Sept. 7, at the Bacolod City Government Center. Joining him were Public Employment Service Office coordinator Jovelyn Canoy, Secretary to the Mayor Marty Go and Management Information Technology and Computer Services officer-in-charge Edrian Robete.
During a press briefing after the launch, Gasataya expressed confidence that the initiative would improve city services alongside the existing local 911 emergency hotline.
“It’s one centralized hotline number to address concerns for the people of Bacolod,” he said.
The hotline operates seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., and handles departmental inquiries, document follow-ups, appointment scheduling and complaints.
To promote transparency and accountability, each caller will receive a reference number or support ticket to monitor the progress of their request.
Residents may track their requests online at case6100.bacolodcity.gov.ph/track.
Canoy described the hotline’s establishment as a dream come true for the team.
She said operators underwent months of training to prepare them to address public concerns.
The system is expected to simplify transactions by allowing residents to seek assistance remotely, reducing transportation costs and unnecessary trips to city offices for simple inquiries and follow-ups.
Gasataya said the centralized system would provide a more organized approach to public service delivery and eventually become the primary gateway for residents seeking city government assistance.
He also outlined plans to integrate the hotline into the city’s G-App mobile application to make the service more accessible.
The city launched G-App in July to provide residents with access to city government services through their mobile devices.
The Bacolod Hotline is intended for concerns involving access to city government services.
For emergencies, residents may continue to call the Bacolod City Local 911 Emergency Hotline, which handles security incidents, medical emergencies and other urgent concerns. (Glazyl M. Jopson via tdg photo by tdg)
