Davao City: The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has filed 966 cases against violators of the quarantine guidelines since the implementation of the Enhanced Community (ECQ) in March.
DCPO Director Col. Kirby John Kraft bared that DCPO, the lead enforcement agency in the implementation of the ECQ, recorded 1,045 violators of the curfew hours; 151 for liquor ban; and, 124 for violation of the social distancing and mass gathering since March 15.
Of the total apprehensions, 966 have been filed in court, he said.
DCPO also recorded 1,118 violators of the use of Food and Medicine (FM) since it has been implemented on April 4, 2020.
Recall that curfew hours, liquor ban and mass gathering are prohibited since March 15 when Davao City was placed under different quarantine levels to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
DCPO also conducts operations against hoarding, overpricing, and profiteering during this time of crisis due to the coronavirus.
They have confiscated overpriced alcohol, face masks, thermal scanners, disinfectants, and liquid soaps from 14 different operations.
The Davao City government continues to urge Dabawenyos to report ECQ violators through the Operations Center and the law enforcement agencies.
