Around 578,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines arrived Friday, August 13 from Taipei on board China Airlines.
Vaccine czar and chief implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. with Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Joey Concepcion, DOH Director Ariel Valencia and Director Maria Soledad Antonio welcome the shipment at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The 578,000 doses of AstraZeneca were immediately transported to PharmaServ Express cold storage in Marikina City guarded by customs NAIA after it was cleared and released by the One Stop Shop of the BOC-NAIA.
Another shipment of vaccine composed of 15,000 doses of Sputnik V also arrived around 4:50 PM yesterday (Friday) from Russia on board Qatar Airways
On Sunday, August 15, 2021, some 469,200 doses of Moderna vaccine from COVAX facility in Begium will arrive around 3:35 p.m. onboard Singapore Airlines.
