Police personnel of Pagadian City Police Station led by PLTCOL. Flint S. Depnag, Officer-in-Charge conducted law enforcement operation against illegal smuggling at Purok Tangigue, Brgy. White Beach, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at 3:30 AM of October 15, 2020.
The operation resulted in the arrest of Munar Parantes Badari, 28 years old, male, single, self-employed, of Panama, Sulu; Dada Solaiman Ado, 34 years old, male, single, fisherman, of Panamaw, Sulu; Al Dasi Bakil Juhaili, 27 years old, male, single, self-employed, of Kaluwang, Sulu; Sakib Marid Sayyadi, 42 years old, married, fishermen, Kalingalan Caluang, Sulu; Alkabid J. Jumdain, 26 years old, fisherman, of Pata, Sulu; Alfahad Y. Pustahan, 23 years old, married, of Jolo Sulu; and Abdurajik Faruk Halaman, 47 years old, male, married, of Pangdan, Sulu.
Confiscated items during the operation were 211 cases/boxes of suspected smuggled/fake cigarettes with estimated market value of ₱ 4, 220,000.00; one-unit green Isuzu Elf Truck drop side, bearing plate number MAK 4799; and one-unit fishing boat.
Arrested persons to include the confiscated evidence were brought to Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
