186 Police Recruits Finished Public Safety Basic Recruit Training

    A total of 186 new police officers finished the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) following the graduation ceremony held at the Regional Training Center in Lipata, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte today, January 15.

    POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT, JR., Regional Director, graced the occasion virtually as he stationed at the Headquarters of Police Regional Office 13 in Butuan City. Highlight of the activity was the giving of awards to the graduates who excelled in academics and had shown leadership skills.

    Among the awardees were:

    Patrolwoman Quennie Mae Y Cenabre who ranked 1st in the entire class;

    Patrolman Ryan D Batallang as top 2; and

    Patrolwoman Tricamarie C Cedre as top 3.

    Those who received the leadership awards were:

    Patrolman Godfree D Himuta for being the Battalion Commander;

    Patrolman Noel U Ong for being the Class President;

    Patrolman May-Ann C Ponteres being the Alpha Company Commander;

    Patrolman Lester John M Bermudez as Bravo Company Commander;

    Patrolman April John M Tokonhas Charlie Company Commander; and

    Patroman Edwin V Labrador Delta Company Commander.

    “For the members of PSBRC Class 2020-02, congratulations for making it today. Baked under the scorching heat of the sun, your six months of stay here were not easy. Despite all the spirit-breaking hardships, you faced it with strong resolve and courage,” RD CARAMAT, JR said.

    He also thanked the training staff led by POLICE LIEUTENANT COLONEL MICHAEL A. CRUZ, Regional Training Director, for molding the new throng of cops.

    “Whatever your dream may be, include what legacy you could leave for the organization. My dream is to have the best police force in the country that we can be truly proud of,” he added.

    The members of PSBRC Class Class 2020-02 “MASINTALAB, comprised of 156 males and 30 females, were turned-over to the Regional Special Training Unit 13 in Santiago, Agusan del Norte to undergo orientation prior to their five-month field training program.

    Also, PBGEN CARAMAT, JR reminded the newly graduated recruits to maintain their Body Mass Index (BMI) as per directive of the Chief PNP, POLICE GENERAL DEBOLD M SINAS to ensure the physical fitness and discipline of all new police. (PMAJ DOROTHY M TUMULAK | RPN DXKS)
