This was revealed to them per computation and records from the ZCWD finance department.

He said, there are two options the water district can have, a subsidy from the city government or the implementation of the increase.

If either of these two will not happen the water district maybe privatize which the board oppose.

Recall, the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) Board of Trustees (BOT) per Resolution No. 53, series of 2020 dated October 28, 2020 approved and confirmed the ₱ 210.00 minimum charge per Resolution No. 53, series of 2020 dated October 28, 2020 or ₱ 25.00 adjustment from ₱ 185.00.

Based on the LWUA BOT resolution, the ZCWD Board of Directors passed a resolution setting the implementation of the first tranche of water rates adjustment effective starting April 2021 billing cycle.
