Once Islas is one of the most popular eco-tourism destinations, and island attractions in the city. The group of islands are rich in seafood which they serve to the guests, such as crabs, squid, fish, and seaweed varieties.
As part of the Celebration of the Festival de Navidad, the City Tourism organized the first ever Once Islas Christmas Food festival.
The activity features serving a variety of mouthwatering dishes that the islands have to offer.
The event was participated by the local Sama Banguingui communities. Group number 5 bagged 1st place with the cash prize of 10,000 pesos and is set to compete on Dec. 11 for another food festival to be held at KCC Mall de Zamboanga.
VM Pareja congratulated the City Tourism Office for the successful event, as it could attract more local tourists to come to relax and enjoy the spots.
