Zamboanga City Police Office Acquired 2 High-Speed Tactical Water Crafts

Camp Col. Romeo A. Abendan, Zamboanga City – The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) acquired two High Tactical Speed Watercrafts (HSTW) from the PNP to be utilized for preventive patrol and anti-criminality/terrorism operations along coastal waters in Zamboanga City.

Police General Debold M. Sinas and Police Major General Angelito Casimiro, The Director for Logistics formally led the turn-over and official blessing two high speed tactical watercrafts to ZCPO in a ceremony held last Saturday December 19, 2020 at Berthing Point of Paseo del Mar, Zamboanga City.

The donation of two sea assets was formally received by Maria Isabelle “Beng” Climaco-Salazar, Mayor of Zamboanga City and PCOL. Rexmel Reyes, City Director of Zamboanga City Police Office.

The high speed watercraft worth 13.6 million each is complete with accessories and armed with 7.62 mm machineguns. Each boat is powered by 3 outboard motors and able to reach speeds of more than 40 knots.

The two watercrafts were donated by the PNP to calibrate the capacity of the local police in denying criminals from conducting terroristic activities in Zamboanga City. Meanwhile, the LGU committed in the maintenance and fuel requirement for the boats’ operations.
