Dinagat Islands has seven (7) new confirmed COVID-19 cases: Six (6) from Cagdianao and one (1) from San Jose. All of them were infected via local transmission, which means they came in contact with previous confirmed active cases.
With this development, we now have eighty-six (86) active COVID-19 cases.
We continue to ask everyone to observe our health and safety protocols. COVID-19 is a real disease. Denying its existence is dangerous for you and the people around you. Always wear face masks especially in public and practice social distancing. Attending mass gatherings such as a fiestas and parties and traveling to areas outside the province places you at risk of infection, which also puts your family members in potential danger. COVID-19 prevention begins with ourselves and in our households.
Let us support each other in this fight. Our communities are our frontlines against this pandemic and its effects to our everyday lives.
