To More Local Graduates And IP Support In Davao De Oro

Davao de Oro –  Davao de Oro’s support towards the academe and its indigenous people is ceaseless.

the province formally turned-over the new 2-storey, 6 units classroom building for the Compostela Valley State College (CVSC) Extension Campus at Laak Davao de Oro and the new Tribal Hall for Poblacion Maragusan.

The turn-over ceremony was attended by Board Member Vivencia Secuya, Barangay and Municipal Officials of Laak, AFP, PNP, Tribal Chieftains, teachers and students of the college.

Under the leadership of Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CVSC remains grateful for the continuing support of the provincial government towards achieving the educational goal of the institution and to continue in providing accessible and free education honing local talents and potentials in Davao de Oro.

With the new classroom building, the state college will be able to give a conducive classroom set-up for its growing student’s population when the pandemic will end sooner. This initiative of the PLGU in partnership with the MLGU of Laak is a precursor towards producing local graduates conditioned for global standards.

At the same day, the Tribal Hall of Brgy. Poblacion of Laak was also turned over. With the new tribal hall, tribal chieftains can have an easy access for meetings, discussion and planning for more or less 3,000 IPs of Laak.
