Davao de Oro – A well- informed citizenry concretize victory in the fight against Covid-19. Through unity and shared responsibility of the people, in no time, the pandemic can be eliminated.
With the national campaign of the Department of Health, BIDA Solusyon sa Covid-19: “Batukan ang ContraVida” the province of Davao de Oro takes off its localized campaign against the pandemic as it launches “Tingog DdO”, which aims to constantly remind the people of the preventive measures and protocols against the pandemic.
The localized campaign officially launched on December 22, 2020 in the Municipality of Pantukan, Davao de Oro with more or less 350 Transport workers and Local vendors whose transport units were installed with “Trompa” that broadcasts localized audio campaign materials around the town reaching every resident of the Municipality.
The “Tingog DdO” campaign amplifies the simplified four (4) letter solution to ward off the virus; B-Bawal ang Walang Mask, I-Isanitize ang Kamay, Iwas hawak sa mga Bagay, D-Dumistansya ng Isang Metro, and A-Alamin ang totoong Impormasyon.
The campaign also adopts the BIDA Bastonero/Bastonera, the champions of BIDA Solution Campaign with tasks on increasing adherence and control measures against the virus in their respective offices/institutions both private and public. This practice encourages all barangay and municipal local government offices as well as public and private offices and institutions to designate a BIDA Bastonero/Bastonera.
Maximizing technological means also strengthens the campaign, MLGUs in the province are encouraged to further disseminate information thru social media platforms and local radio stations and posting of printed materials to selected places as well. PLGU-Davao de Oro will also utilize media channels of the province such as partnering local radio stations of the Serbisyo Oro Mismo, Nabunturan Cable TV Network, and thru the official Facebook pages of the province.
The program launching was attended by Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy, Congressman Ruwell Peter Gonzaga, Mayor Roberto Yugo of Pantukan, SB Member of Pantukan Mes Catherine Uy, Board Member Vivencia Secuya, DILG Provincial Director Noel Duarte and other dignitaries from the National Agencies such as TESDA, DSWD, DTI and Department of Agriculture.
