PRO13 Regional Director POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT JR said that the RMFB13 troops excavated four containers of ammunition, fully loaded with 12,013 pieces of AK47 live ammunition.

RMFB13 disclosed that the recovery of ammunition stemmed from a concerned citizen’s call that buried bullets were in the said area.

The troops verified the report, and after the veracity of the information, operatives, together with the concerned citizen, unearthed the AK47 live ammunition at 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

The discovery of the ammunition demonstrated that the community was fed up with the communist terrorist NPA’s atrocities, as they even revealed the locations of their cache.

RD CARAMAT JR commended the operating team, led by POLICE COLONEL LAUDEMER M LAUDE, Force Commander RMFB13, for recovering four ammunition containers.

“I am graeful to the peace-loving Caraganons who have been assisting the PNP Caraga in maintaining peace and order, particularly in reporting where the rebels were hiding and concealed their armaments in various parts of the region. This discovery of NPA’s ammunition cache saved another life of our people. We call on the remaining NPA members to surrender now, end the chaos you caused for years and live in peace with your family,” RD CARAMAT JR concluded.

Recovered bullets are now in the custody of RMFB13 for proper documentation and disposition. (MAJ DOROTHY TUMULAK, PNP Caraga PIO)
