Surigao: Mayor Paul Dumlao joins successful 4th Provincial Business Conference

The 4th Provincial Business Conference, organized by the Surigao Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated (SCCI), concluded today with the participation of business leaders, government officials, and entrepreneurs from across the province.

City Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II, in his message, emphasized the vital role of infrastructure development in attracting investments and driving economic growth. He reaffirmed the city government’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment by fostering innovation and supporting local enterprises. Mayor Dumlao mentioned ongoing efforts to collaborate with the private sector on initiatives that promote local development and ensure sustainable progress for Surigao City and the province.

Provincial Governor Robert Lyndon S. Barbers, SCCI President Engr. Ferdinand P. Sembrano, DTI Provincial Director Arnold D. Faelnar, DOST-SNSU TBI Manager Dr. Arvin Mag-usara, and owner of Amparitas Integrated Nature Farm Engr. Ramon R. Barbosa, were among the key figures present at the event.

The conference featured panel discussions on the importance of digital transformation for local businesses, strategies for empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and insights into sustainable farming practices. Experts from various industries shared their knowledge and best practices, aiming to help Surigaonon entrepreneurs stay competitive in a fast-changing market.

Mayor Paul Dumlao also visited booths at the conference. He commended the creativity and resilience of local entrepreneurs, noting that these efforts are essential for the city’s economic recovery and long-term growth.
