Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur personnel responded to a drowning incident transpired at vicinity waters of Brgy. Lawigan, Bislig City, Surigao Del Sur last Sunday, 01 January 2023.
On or about 12:00 in the afternoon, above-said personnel while conducting Baywatch Patrol heard some beachgoers shouting for help as one (1) male individual is allegedly drowning. Upon hearing the request, they immediately proceeded to the incident area to verify, which yielded to a positive result.
The team immediately rendered necessary assistance and called 911 Emergency Responders of Bislig City to request for assistance and ambulance to transport the victim to the nearest hospital. The victim was safely turned over to 911 Emergency Responder for provision of medical attention.
