City Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II joined the awarding and closing program of Paugnat sa Kusog 2024, the Division Athletic Selection Meet organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) Surigao City Division, yesterday, November 15, 2024.
The event, led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Marilou B. Desumo, CESO V, and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Gilbert Gayrama, CESO VI, brought together student-athletes from various schools to compete in multiple sports events.
It also served as preparation for the regional meet in February 2025.
Mayor Dumlao emphasized the city government’s continued support for youth development through sports and education, highlighting its commitment to helping young athletes achieve their goals.
City Councilor Karl Duane Casurra and City Budget Officer Atty. Jeffrey Galido also attended, extending congratulations to the athletes and organizers for the event’s success.
