LOOK: The City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office kicks off its “Suroy Suroy sa Surigao” Heritage Tour around the City in celebration of National Heritage Month.
The City Government of Surigao through the City Tourism Office and Cultural Affairs Office celebrates National Heritage Month by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 439, with the theme: “Heritage Change and Continuity.”
To actively foster consciousness, respect, and love for the nation’s culture and history among Filipinos, National Heritage Month will be celebrated throughout May.
Launched today, “Suroy Suroy sa Surigao” Heritage Tour was led by Leonardo “Nards” Go, as the tour guide together with City Tourism Officer in Charge Vaya Angelica Burdas.
With this activity, the City Government of Surigao invites the public to actively participate in protecting our culture and history. There is a role of communities in preserving their heritage.
