It is undeniable that General Luna once more have been placed in the spotlight due to the high volume of tourists who are now in the Island of Siargao. The number of individuals, families, groups of friends and all sorts of tourists has significantly increased as our accommodation establishments are fully booked and the number of people availing of our activities like surfing, island hopping is evidently remarkable.
Despite the Advisory from the Provincial Government, WE ARE GRATEFUL for the positive turn of events that highly manifested the global competitiveness of General Luna as the Surfing Capital of the Philippines hailed as one of the best island in the world. There were minor mishaps and challenges, however we made sure that fitting and appropriate measures were taken to accommodate the high volume of tourists and that needs are addressed in the most efficient way possible.
We apologize for some inconveniences, but rest assured that this will be a learning opportunity for all of us in the coming days to improve our tourism-related services. Given all these, the Local Government of General Luna remains steadfast and highly willing to assist every tourist who chooses to stay with us. As we reiterate, WE ARE IN CONTROL, and we are on top of everything.
