DAVAO CITY – Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is now back at the helm of her old regional political party.
Davao del Norte Gov. Anthony del Rosario, spokesman of HNP, confirmed the return of Duterte-Carpio to its fold, and as the party chairman that she previously relinquished last week to join the national political party, Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats.
In its website, the NHP showed the picture of Duterte-Carpio taking her oath of office before Davao Occidental Gov. Claude Bautista, the HNP president on late Friday.
It captioned its post as “Our Agila is Back!”.
“Our beloved Davao City Mayor and Vice Presidential aspirant Sara Duterte is back as HNP Chairperson.
Welcome back, Mayor!”
