Left out ineligible poorest of the poor whom the government has missed giving cash aid are seen to receive their share during the second tranche.

Guesting at #LagingHanda Network Briefing, Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista was optimistic for those so-called “wait-list” or those left out but ilegible to receive a share of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) cash aid.

He responded to the query of Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon during the Network Briefing whether Tagumenyos who had received P6, 000 cash aid, can still hope for a second tranche.

“Kung matatandaan po ninyo meron po tayong hiningi sa inyo na  listahan, yong mga eligible  kaya lang di nakatanggap nitong unang tranche. Yong term natin na wait-listed, mga left out,” Bautista said during the Network Briefing.

“Kinukuha namin ang listahan, siguro ito ang ma-assure natin na  mapamahagian kung hindi sila nakakatanggap nung first trance, baka sa second tranche,” he added.

Regarding the 18 million whom already had the share of cash aid, Bautista said that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is still “waiting for the written directive of our President (Rodrigo Duterte)” from which guidelines of the second round of SAP aid distribution will be based?

Meanwhile, Bautista assured Mayor Rellon to check with the regional office of DSWD regarding deduction of more than P1, 000 (from the P6, 000 cash aid) reportedly for purchase of food packs.

Rellon was informing Bautista regarding query of some Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries “who are asking when would the relief goods arrive on top of the cash assistance they have received.”

Bautista explained that 4Ps beneficiaries are regularly receiving P1, 350 in their ATMs. DSWD is topping up this amount to a total of P6, 000 as their share of SAP cash aid.

“In the first tranche, the regular amount they’re receiving as 4Ps and the top-up has been given already. This does not include cash meant to buy relief goods. We give only cash to our 4Ps beneficiaries,” Bautista explained.

Bautista assured Rellon to mobilize the Regional Office of DSWD to check those who have yet to receive the lacking amount of the P6, 000 due them during the first trance of SAP cash aid distribution

“Our field office will contact you regarding the numbers,” he told Rellon referring to contacts to staff assigned regarding this concern in Tagum City.  (PIA XI/ Jeanevive Duron Abangan)
