The Rotary Club of Surigao City led by President Ricardo Ragas and Immediate Past President Louise Chua turned over the other day the hand washing facility to the club’s adopted Banbanon Elementary School in Brgy. Banbanon, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte.
The project was realized and initiated as a District Grant from RI District 3860 where the club actively supports the annual giving of The Rotary Foundation. The water and sanitation facility is just one of the 6 areas of service of Rotary International. Club Vice President Alfonsito Amoncio supervised the construction as Project Chairman.
Banbanon Elementary School Teaching Staff with their Head Teacher III Jelynrose Mahinay, PTA President Jocelyn Dela Torre and Punong Barangay Jaime Cortes expressed their deepest gratitude for the support of the Rotarians in the needed hand washing facility.
